Full Moon in Capricorn: Lighten Up and Empower Yourself

This full Moon brings us another moment to pause and reflect on our progress so far. We started this year, right after the New Moon in Capricorn. Now, 6 months later, with a full Moon in Capricorn, it’s time to review our New Year resolutions. The full Moon shines her light on where you are in regards to your plans and dreams. It’s time to adjust your course if needed. This full Moon is packed with paradoxes, because the Moon is in the sign of Capricorn and the Sun is in the sign of Cancer, right across from each other. These opposing signs bring some important issues to the table.

We are in a period of the year where the theme ‘grounded in your being’ is utterly important. With the upcoming full Moon in Capricorn there will be a focus on what is to be done. Capricorn is all about your ambitions, your drive toward excellence and how you structure your work. It’s the serious, hard-working energy that wants to climb the ladder of ambition.

With the Moon in hardworking Capricorn, Pluto is right next to the Moon. This is one of the most powerful combinations we can have, yet at the same time it is confronting and can be overwhelming. I would like to point out here that you can use this energy that’s available in a conscious way. So that you can use the energy instead of energy is using you. If you don’t take action, action is likely to take you.

What kind of action can you expect?

With the Moon next to power planet Pluto your feelings will be intensified. Expect some extreme emotional highs and lows which can evoke some drama in your life. The challenge here is to feel grounded in your being (You might want to read my blog about this specific topic here). Channel this intense energy into a creative outlet.

In this light, Pluto’s goals these years (2008-2024), globally, is to transform the structures and systems of our world. The systems we live in are in need of profound change and in need of a new way of structuring and organizing. Globally it’s time to have a look at the structures and the systems we created and how they are working for us, and question ourselves if the same structures also work for those who are in a vulnerably position. On a personal level it’s time to review the structures we build for ourselves and in our business. We are to question if they are serving us to do the work we are meant to do. Or are you tight up in the structures and systems you created yourself? Can you still feel the flow? Is the system still working for you?

With the Sun in Cancer, your emotional wellbeing and your ability to ground yourself in your being are highlighted. Cancer is the feminine principle of nurturing, caring, compassion. Capricorn, where the Moon is, rules your ambition, success, the structures, systems and everything that you need to have in place to succeed in your business. My personal experience is, in creating all the structures and having the systems in place my focus rocket me off my freedom of flow and being. Structures and systems are supposed to be supporting and not confining. When I am not grounded in my being I cannot create and follow my flow and create effortlessly.

For me, it’s very important that I am able to receive guiding, support, inspiration and wisdom from the Universe. The single most important skill I need to practice in order to receive is allowing. Allowing the inspiration to come. Allowing the guidance, support, mentorship and wisdom as a well that never dries up. When I’m too busy with my business, the well dries up. The inspiration doesn’t come.

Then I know it’s time to go back to my essence, because at the center of my being, my light radiates like a thousand stars. And that’s how I want to show up in the world. Again it’s all about that balance between your inner and outer world. How do you want to show up? And do we see your brilliant light, shining like a thousand stars?

This full Moon in Capricorn empowers you to be your own authority. Which means; owning your power. Choose how you want to feel. Act on it! Do what makes you strong. Fight for your dreams. Be ambitious. Use your power to fly.

• What supports your balance?
• What makes you feel healthy and strong?
• What do you need to feel safe and secure?
• Where in your life are you not taking full responsibility?
• Is it time to establish better boundaries?
• Do you know how it feels to stay grounded in your being?
• Where do you give your power away?

To do’s during a full Moon

• Celebrate what you’ve accomplished.
• Work hard, play hard
• Complete the tasks you dreamt about during the new Moon
• Tune into your own creativity. Spend some time to meditate and have a serious look on what needs to be done.
• Tap into your spiritual side. Even though the Moon is in earthly Capricorn, Neptune will support you in this.
• Re-structure where needed. Review your systems and structures and ask yourself how they serve you in doing the work you are meant to do. What and how are the structures and systems supporting you in reaching your goals
